Deopur (1450
m). Transfer to the domestic airport of Kathmandu for the flight to
Pokhara. At Pokhara airport, the trekking crew will welcome you.
From here it is a 2 hours drive to Nayapul. Lunch by the river. The
trek begins with a steep climb to Deopur, a small village bazaar. |

Lespar (2100
m). One day climb through steep terraced fields, small villages and
forests of Rhododendron and Oak. We camp high in open pastures. A 5
hours walk. |

3 |
|
|
Phulbari
(2800 m). A steady climb out of the village leads us to a ridge at
2300 m. The first views of the spectacular Dhaulagiri Himal (8167
m), stretching across the horizon. We lunch in full view of the
mountains at Ramche, before gradually climbing into open pastures
and our camp at Phulbari. A 5 hours walk. |

4 |
|
|
Saunta (2200
m). This morning we leave early to climb up to Poon Hill, above
Ghorepani. A view of the complete Annapurna (8011 m), Dhaulagiri
(8167 m) and Nilgiri Himal (7061 m). We lunch at Ghorepani before
heading down the main trail to Chitre and our campingsite. A 5 hours
walk |

Chistibung
(3000 m). Our goal today is the Kopra ridge to the north, but due to
the steep and dangerous nature of the trail used only by hunters, we
descend into the most beautiful forest to follow the low
"animal" trail to Kopra for luch. In the afternoon we
slowly ascend through the buffalo grazing pastures of Chistibung. We
camp below Kopra Ridge. A 6 hours walk |

Kopra Ridge.
To reach the ridge, we face a steady climb. On the ridge, the views
are fantastic! Annapurna south towering directly above us. There is
no water on the ridge, so today we carry packed lunches. The
afternoon walk leads us to our camp site on Kopra Ridge. A 5 hours
walk. |

8 |

|
Kopra Ridge
(3870 m). We have allowed a day for exploratory trips towards the
Annapurna peaks. We can visit the holy lakes at Kaire. |

9 |
|
|
Dobaato
(3420 m). After the descent the trail climbs gradually for the rest
of the day heading for a small notch that leads to the watershed of
the Modi Khola river. We camp at Dobaato. A 6 hours walk |

10 |
|
|
Ghandrung
(1950 m). We have lunch in Tadapani at Gaikharka. After lunch we
descend, to the largest village of the region, Ghandrung. This
Gurung village is well known for the number of its menfolk who have
served in the British Gurkha regiments. We camp on the outskirts of
the village. A 6 hours walk |

|
Pothana
(2050 m). From Ghandrung a broad stone stair winds 600 m down to the
Modi river. We climb to Landrung village, our
lunch site. After lunch a steady climb through forest brings us to
the main village of Pothana and our camp site. A 6 hours walk. |

12 |
|
|
Lampatha
(2010 m). We take an alternative trail to Dhampus. We follow the
Yangdi river, and the main jeep trail to Pokhara. Campsite on
the end of the ridge, for our final sunset and sunrise panorama. A 6
hours walk |

|
Kathmandu
(1360 m). A 2 hours walk. A short walk along the ridge to the
village of Astamkot at the end, and then descend to Bagar. Transfer
to Kathmandu |
